Lauren's Hope began as a business with a custom jewelry business founded in 1994 by Denise Gaskill and Lee Ann Carlson. At one point, we were approached by a women who had a teen aged daughter named Lauren with diabetes. She refused to wear her normal medical alert identification bracelet because she felt it was not only ugly but also drew unwanted attention to her condition. The Lauren's Hope For A Cure Medical ID Bracelet was introduced in 2001 and became so incredibly popular that we had to change our company's name to Lauren's Hope! After starting with that original diabetes bracelet, we now offer a wide range of styles that range from fun to elegant for everyone including men and kids. Not only have we provided thousands of people of stylish medical ID jewelry that they will actually wear but we have also donated over $75,000 to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
A Diabetes Bracelet With Style
We now offer dozens of different styles of jewelry at Lauren's Hope. Although any of our styles can be engraved with the appropriate information to alert emergency responders to diabetes, one of our strands also carries a sterling silver awareness ribbon and "Hope" charm to commemorate diabetes awareness. We also carry a non-medical ID version of this great bracelet. The medical alert version, like so many of our bracelets, includes special clasps that allow you to detach the strand from the tag and replace it with another strand. This allows you the option to change your strands to match your mood or outfit.
