  • Who needs to wear a medical alert bracelet?
If you've been diagnosed with a chronic medical condition, have food or drug allergies, or take medications, then you should wear a medical alert. Any chronic medical condition may alter the treatment you might normally receive. If you are a caregiver you should also wear a medical ID to alert emergency personnel of your loved one who needs attention. Let your medical identification jewelry speak for you when you can't.

Medical ID dog tags for men are one of our most popular items. We offer these engraved medical IDs in Stainless Steel and Anodized Aluminum. You can customize your medical ID dog tag with your name, medical condition, allergies, and ICE telephone number. These engraved dog tags may help keep a minor emergency from becoming a bigger one.

  • We're often asked who Lauren is or where the name "Lauren's Hope" came from. The original interchangeable medical ID bracelet was made for Lauren, a 13 year old with diabetes who refused to wear medical ID jewelry because, as she said, 'It's ugly and draws attention to my illness.' So we set out to design a medical alert bracelet that Lauren, and the millions of people like her who avoided medical IDs when they really needed them, would actually enjoy wearing.
  • In 2001, Lauren's Hope Medical ID Jewelry debuted the world's first interchangeable medical alert bracelet when we created a selection of stylish medical IDs for a teenage girl, Lauren, who had Type 1 Diabetes. Since then, we have expanded our line of medical alert products to include countless custom-engravable, interchangeable medical ID bracelets and so many more items featuring the internationally recognized medical caduceus symbol:
