When the Fibromuscular Dysplasia Society of America (FMDSA) approached us about making a medical alert bracelet for people with Fibromuscular Dysplasia (FMD), we were honored and excited. The very name of the My String of Beads medical ID bracelet comes from the condition itself, in which affected arteries can take on the appearance of a strand of beads. FMD is also often represented by a tree image, which represents life and symbolizes the arteries affected by FMD.

Inspired by the original FMD bracelet, with beautiful clear, light blue, and royal blue crystals punctuated with sterling silver and pearl accents, this medical alert bracelet is a beautiful awareness piece for FMD as well as the many conditions that use blue as their central awareness color, such as Type 1 Diabetes, Autism, Addison's, and more. My String of Beads is finished off with two hand-wire-wrapped crystal and silver dangles and our signature Hope charm. Pair it with any Lauren's Hope medical ID tag for a custom-engraved medical ID bracelet that raises awareness while keeping you safe in style. This bracelet is suitable for everyday use including hand washing and bathing.

  • Sterling silver and pearl accents
  • Clear, light blue, and royal blue crystals
  • Wire-wrapped crystal dangles
  • Interchangeable
  • Pairs with any LH medical ID tag
  • Not for wear in hot tubs, pools, or ocean water

  • To measure for your Lauren’s Hope medical ID bracelet, take a snug measurement of your wrist, leaving no room between your skin and the measuring tape, and add one inch.
  • Snug Measurement + 1 Inch = Your Bracelet Size

Engraving Method

Traditional engraving comes standard with your medical ID tag. This method etches your information into the stainless steel tag.

Color-Filled Engraving appears brown or black to provide contrast and increase ease of reading.

We recommend you engrave...

  • First and Last Name
  • Medical Condition(s)
  • Food or Drug Allergies
  • Emergency Contact #1
  • Emergency Contact #2

Tips and Hints

  • Be sure to indicate if you are on a medication or allergic to the medication.
  • Unless you are listing several numbers for the same person you do not need to indicate that it is a cell or work number.
  • The shorter the line, the larger the font will appear on the tag.
  • The tag will be easier to read if the lines are evenly spaced.
  • When listing allergies say "peanut allergy" instead of "allergy to peanuts" because it takes up less space.

Other Options

Adding rings to your medical ID tag makes it easier to clasp and is great for those with dexterity issues, but not recommended for bracelets smaller than 7 inches.

Magnetic Clasp

The magnetic clasp is strong, secure and the easiest way to clasp a bracelet. Not recommended for bracelets under 7 inches. Do not select if you have a pacemaker.
