What should I engrave on my medical ID tag??
First and Last Name
Medical Condition
Allergies
Emergency Contact Number #1
Emergency Contact Number #2
Tips and Hints
-If you include medication names on your engraving, be sure to indicate weather or not you are
taking the medication or allergic to the medication. For example, "ON SULFA vs. SULFA ALLERGY"
-Unless you are listing several numbers for the same person you do not need to indicate
that it is a cell or work number.
-The shorter the line, the larger the font will be on the tag.
-The tag will be easier to read if the lines are evenly spaced.
-When listing allergies say “peanut allergy” instead of “allergy to peanuts” because it
takes up less space.

How do I know what size of bracelet to order?
Take a measuring tape and measure your wrist at its smallest point. Take a true wrist
measurement-not too tight or too loose. Then, add 1 inch to that measurement. Lauren's Hope
bracelets do NOT fit like the average bracelet. Remember, the tag does not bend. So, you will
need to add an inch to your wrist measurement. (This only applies to the beaded bracelets-not the
men's watches). Be sure to measure carefully as there is a $6 return shipping and handling fee.

your original paperwork it would be helpful. If not, we will need to know your name, address, and phone
number. Also, please enclose a note telling us what size to make the bracelet. If you do not know what
size, please measure your wrist and add 1 inch.
Can I wear my bracelet in the shower or while swimming?
Although most of our bracelets are made out of 14K gold filled and sterling silver beads, it is still strung
on jewelry wire. Therefore, it is NOT recommended that you wear it while swimming or showering.
However, the adjustable band bracelets are waterproof and machine washable. The dog tags, leather and cotton
bracelets may also be worn while showering and swimming. However, the leather and cotton bracelets may show more
wear if done so.
Good Ideas for Young Children
The smallest size we make in the beaded bracelets is 6 inches and that fits a 5 inch wrist,
they are not recommended for younger children because they pose a chocking hazard and because
the ID tag is too large for their wrists. If the child’s wrist is smaller than 5 inches they are
probably too young to wear beaded bracelets.
We have a brand new adjustable band bracelet line that is perfect for children. They are durable,
washable, waterproof, adjustable and inexpensive. They can even strap around the child’s ankle
instead of the wrist. Be sure and check them out.
Medical ID Bracelets
Do you ship to other countries?
Yes we do! Please choose “other” in place of a state and you can order without a problem.
Your credit card company will automatically perform the money exchange rate.
Does it matter what medical condition or allergy I have?
No, you can engrave anything you’d like. For example, you can engrave "Diabetic”, or "Allergic to
penicillin.” Anything that a medical technician would benefit to know in treating you in an
emergency situation.
Are they interchangeable?
Interchangeable Medical ID Bracelets have two clasps that hook onto the Medical ID Tag.
You need to merely unclasp the tag and reclasp it to the new bracelet.
How should I wear my Medical ID Bracelet?
We have been informed by paramedics that you should wear your Medical ID Bracelet on your
left arm as that is the arm they normally use to check your pulse.
Can I order a specific Medical ID Tag?
Yes, all of our tags are special order and start at $11.00 plus $2.00 for each additional line.
Each line holds up to 20 spaces or characters per line and each tag holds up to five lines.
A standard shipping and handling fee of $6.00 applies to EVERY order. Please call or email us
to place a tag only order.
What happens if my bracelet does not fit or breaks?
All of our bracelets have a six month guarantee. If it breaks for any reason, we will restrand it
for free one time. After the six month period, the charge is $10.00 plus a $6 shipping and
handling fee. If you ordered the wrong size, return it to us along with the $6 return shipping
and handling fee and instructions as to the size you need.
What materials are the bracelets made out of? Does the wire stretch?
Lauren's Hope uses the finest quality of beads available. All of our beads are 14Kt gold
filled and sterling silver. The actual Medical ID Tag is stainless steel. The bracelets are
strung on jewelry wire, so they will NOT stretch. All of our bracelets are custom made to fit.
This is why it is important to measure your wrist.

hand out to your patients, please click here or
call 1-800-360-8680.

Typewriter Bracelets
Our typewriter bracelets are made WITHOUT GLUE! We use authentic typewriter keys and sterling silver
findings (including clasps). Please feel free to choose from one of our designs or custom order
your own 10-key bracelet!
Are these real, authentic typewriter keys you use?
Absolutely 100% authentic.
Where do you find all of your typewriters and how can you take apart such gems?
The company we work with treasure hunts all over the world for worn-down, beaten-up, rusted and
broken typewriters that are on their way to the dumps. Due to computers, typewriter repairs shops
are almost non-existent.
If they find a typewriter in pristine, working condition ..... they donate them to a group
that transports them to schools in Mexico that are without computers and electricity. With
these donations, the children are given an opportunity to learn to type.
Are these real, authentic typewriter keys you use?
What happens to the rest of the typewriter?
Once the keys are removed, the shell is used for retail displays and the remaining pieces are
donated to a group of local artists for their sculpture work. Nothing goes to waste.
How long does it take for you to ship an order?
Please allow 2 weeks for delivery.
Can I get a "delete" key?
Yes. But only from your computer keypad.
How do I order the correct size non-medical bracelet?
(These measurements are for a non-medical bracelet; this type of bracelet does NOT include a
Medical ID Tag)
A standard bracelet is a size 7 ¼ or 10 keys. If you need a smaller or larger bracelet, the
number of keys are as follows. Please measure carefully! Each additional key will add approximately ¾ of an inch.
8 Keys=Approx. 5 ¾ inches
9 Keys = Approx. 6 ½ inches
10 Keys=Approx. 7 ¼ inches (Standard size)
11 Keys=Approx. 8 inches
12 Keys=Approx. 8 ¾ inches
13 keys=Approx. 9 ½ inches
How do I order the correct size type writer bracelet with a Medical ID Tag?
All of our Medical ID Bracelet measurements include the size of a 1 ½ inch tag in the measurement.
So, if you need a size 7 ¼ bracelet including the tag, you would need to order a size 7 ¼ strand.
If you already have one of our tags and need a bracelet that totals a size 7 ¼, you will need to
order a size 7 ¼. Because the size of the typewriter keys cannot be changed, these are the only
sizes available. We cannot add to these bracelets like we can with the beaded bracelets. Please
call 1-800-360-8680 if you have any questions.
6 keys=Approx. 6 ½ inches
7 keys=Approx. 7 ¼ inches
8 keys=Approx. 8 inches
