Waterproof Options

Waterproof medical ID bracelets generally come in a few materials: silicone, stainless steel, and certain fabrics (ie: canvas). These materials are considered “water-friendly” or “waterproof” in that they are safe for wear in pools, hot tubs, and ocean water. Other styles, including beaded and macrame med alert bracelets, are fine for wear during hand washing, bathing, and similar daily activities. They’re simply not recommended for wear in chlorinated or salinated water due to the corrosive effect these environments have on the bracelets’ materials.
